West (1815-1878) of "Gravel Hill," Buckingham County, Va., especially concerning the Buckingham Female Collegiate Institute. Also, includes an account book, 1868-1869, concerning mercantile operations of a store at Gravel Hill; accounts and records of West as a Buckingham County justice of the peace; and personal legal records. Also, includes records, 1843-1867, of John S. West & Co. of Buckingham County, Va.
